It is an intense gin, rich in history but created to be balanced and smooth, ideal to complement any cocktail. Tasted in purity it shows all its character and finds its highest expression. The intent was to create a unique gin of its kind: repeated tests and experiments with dozens of different plants, in search of the ideal distiller in lesser known Italy. At the end of a long journey, the blend finally materialized on 6 different botanicals, exclusively fresh, with the perfect alcoholic mixture: a sensory experience for an incredible new flavor.

Description

The production of small batches, with the addition of selected botanicals, enhance the freshness and intense aromas: the sweetness of the orange, the bitterness of the juniper, the spice of the cardamom, the spiciness of the ginger and the floral note given by the secret ingredient. Because every real recipe has one.

Tasting Notes

The nose has a clear sensation of juniper, followed by an accentuated spicy note, with a slight balsamic hint. The palate confirms the predominance of juniper, which is counterpointed by warm and enveloping notes of marjoram that meets cardamom and ginger. In the finish, a rich, persistent and resinous taste emerges, with an aftertaste tending to sweet given by the secret ingredient.

Distillation technique

Careful selection of raw materials: top quality juniper, dried sweet orange peels, marjoram, cardamom, ginger, the secret ingredient with a floral note.

Dosed and mixed to be put in hydroalcoholic infusion at about 60 degrees, in a special distillation apparatus equipped with a basket to contain the vegetable substances. After about 2 days, we proceed to a slow distillation, carefully tasting and discarding some unsuitable fractions, collecting only the heart of the distillate. This operation requires a long experience in the sector. At the end of distillation, the analytical control of the distillate, alcohol content and organoleptic analysis are carried out. Various dosages follow to define the right amount to be used for a standard and harmonious finished product, calibrated at 42 degrees alcohol. The finished product will be left to rest, filtered and packaged.

Acknowledgments

Piero Dry Gin took the podium at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, the most prestigious international competition for wines and spirits, winning second place and "bewitching" a commission of world experts representing 30 countries.
