Description

To celebrate the 200 years of life, Lagavulin has decided to propose a contemporary version of the whisky aged 8 years tasted by Alfred Barnard in the late 1800's. Barnard, the English of Essex, was one of the first and most important historians of the distillation. In the course of a business trip come to Islay and is the place to taste a Lagavulin 8 years: in his travel chronicles describes him as "exceptionally good". And then adds that "there are few distilleries of Scotch using the distillate as a single. [malt whisky] whisky, Lagavulin is without a doubt one of the best" - an extract of these phrases is reported on the label of 8 Years Old.
