Lake Bartężek is created using exclusively Dankowskie Diamond rye grown on an estate in northern Poland, in the Mazury lake district. It is a region renowned for its glacial lakes, a climate shaped by the Baltic winds and long, snowy winters. Here the rye spends over 80 days buried under the snow: an extreme climatic condition that shapes its character and greatly affects the aromatic profile of the distillate. The name comes from Bartężek lake, which runs along the eastern edge of the property. The lake terroir is reflected in this peculiar vodka, which offers notes of black pepper, toasted walnuts, cream and a full, round and soft finish.
