The heart of the bitter consists of the rhubarb root, Rheum Palmatum, which comes from plants over four years of age (high-quality "pink slit" quality). Dried and reduced to fragments, it releases its aromas resting in an infusion of alcohol and pure water from Lunigiana. Combined with china calissaia, medicinal herbs, alcohol and sugar, after maturation, it gives a liqueur that is appreciated both tasted smooth and included in the many cocktails offered by various bartenders.
