Falernum is a key ingredient in Tiki mixing and is used in numerous recipes. John D. Taylor, with his recipe dating back to 1890 is the first and original Falernum created in Bridgetown in Barbados. The recipe is now faithfully reproduced Foursquare Distillery which owns the brand. Obtained from Lime juice, almonds, cane sugar syrup, cloves and Rum. Falernum is essential for making classic cocktails such as Mai Tai, Bermuda Rum Swizzle, Zombie and many others.

Very simple to reproduce it is done by mixing:
50 ml. by Rum Doorly's 5 years
15 ml. by Velvet Falernum
15 ml. of fresh lime juice
3 dashes by Angostura Bitter
