Sangre de Vida Blanco tequila begins with slow cooking agave piña hearts in brick ovens with stone walls. This centuries-old art of slow cooking is then followed by cooling, chopping and finally squeezing the hearts into a wort (sweet juice), which then ferments for five days, after which it is distilled three times (with the final distillation completed in small stills with even more heat). Lotería's artwork drew on Mexican traditions, historical characters, gastronomy and popular culture, translating them into familiar and recognizable images to those who have experienced this distinctive culture.
