Description
Crafted in small batches in a historic distillery founded in 1893 in Barbados, Bumbu is a true Caribbean legend.
The recipe is based on the original created in the 16th and 17th centuries by sailors and merchants that sailed the West Indian seas, who did not like the taste of traditional rum. "Bumbu" was in fact the name of the mixture they had made by adding Caribbean fruit and spices to their rums. Faithful to these legendary origins, Bumbu uses only natural and indigenous ingredients, the best selection of sugar cane and Barbados water, considered one of the purest in the world. Sugar cane comes directly from sustainable crops from 8 countries in the Caribbean and South America: Barbados, Belise, Brazil, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras. Bumbu is aged for up to 15 years to achieve exceptional balance and softness, without sacrificing the depth and complexity that make it one of the best rums in the world.
