Dr Squid Gin was created with squid ink, an ingredient so powerful that only a minimal amount is needed for both distillation and color. Vanilla was added to the base of the recipe to give a well rounded feel and perceived sweetness, combined with sea buckthorn for a tart, fresh fruit finish. The woody essence is given by the oak bark, characterized by toasted notes that evoke those of hazelnut and walnut. The handcrafted labels that cover each bottle are inspired by the Masters who made the history of art, through the use of a mixture obtained from Carrara marble and Roman Travertine, raw materials with which famous statues and monuments were made.
