RUM / RON Don Papa Gayuma is a Rum that pays homage to the mystical rituals performed by Filipino shamans under Mount Kanlaon by harnessing the power of both the spiritual and material worlds. Gayuma, which means "love potion", was created precisely like the ancient drink used in these folkloric rites from which it draws inspiration. Don Papa Gayuma is a limited edition of Rum distilled and aged on the Island of Sugarlandia before being delicately smoked.

Description

Made using 100% cane sugar molasses from Negros Island, Don Papa Gayuma is distilled and aged in the unique climate found around the volcano, on the slopes of Mount Kanlaon. Don Papa Gayuma is initially aged in American oak barrels that have contained Bourbon, then refines in Whiskey barrels from the Scottish island of Islay. The Rum has a dark amber color with a distinctly peaty nose, soft and delicate notes of vanilla, orange peel, deep hints of cocoa with a touch of cloves and mint. Its intensely smoky and spicy soul creates a complex but above all excellently balanced Rum.
