He was inspired by the travels of master distiller Lesley Gracie to the Venezuelan Amazon rainforest in 2013 when he spent three weeks with a local tribe learning about the rare plants and fruits that can be found in this part of the world, based on the original recipe of the Hendrick's gin, with its botanical signature of cucumbers and roses, but with the addition of Amazonian flora. The creation of the Master Distiller, Ms. Lesley Gracie is as refreshing as her muse, the mighty waves lashing the Atlantic coast of Ayrshire. Infused with an exquisite blend of locally sourced coastal botanicals and with a striking, surprisingly smooth citrus finish. The nose has a resinous note of juniper, followed by intense floral and citrus touches. On the palate it is delicate, herbaceous and spicy, with a slight salinity in the background.
