Brooklyn Distilling Company was founded in 1895, with the aim of making alcohol from molasses and waste from the sugar industries, but was closed in the early twentieth century. Nonetheless, the company has recently reopened with the production of Brooklyn Gin - the company's first product in the last 100 years. Brooklyn Gin is handcrafted in a small batch at a time, by co-founders and distillers Joe Santos and Emil Jattne, who use only artisanal and traditional production methods, which have always been synonymous with high quality. The production process is characterized by the selection and preparation of the best local wheat and the best natural ingredients, coming from all over the world, which are carefully hand-worked to release the true essence and complexity of the raw materials. The significance of this product is, as for the famous neighborhood, to be the main glue of the crème de la crème of the world.
