Description
The nose is peaty and full of iodine, but also rich in fresh citrus notes and a hint of banana and vanilla. It is on tasting, however, that the creamy influence of the first fill bourbon is most evident: despite the strong smokiness, it is by no means an aggressive whiskey. On the contrary, it is soft, full of herbaceous notes, lemon peel, more banana and vanilla, and even a touch of chamomile. The oak never becomes too dominant, with a very peppery, dry and mineral finish.
