A limited edition London Dry Gin that accompanies the mind on a long journey of exploration, between Tuscany and Venezuelan nature reserves. The perfect union of flavours, aromas, suggestions and history of Sabatini Gin celebrates one of the oldest and most elegant ingredients in the world: Venezuelan cocoa. It will be the shells containing the beans, waste material, of this fine cocoa that give a delicate, fresh and persistent aroma to London Dry Gin.

Description

Unique product as it is made so intense by the infusion of cocoa shells in the still together with Sabatini Gin at such a percentage of alcohol (79.9% ABV) that it is possible to redistill the mixture and obtain an intense and smooth flavor in which the cocoa blends perfectly with the 9 Tuscan botanicals present in Sabatini Gin. The research and choice of this ingredient is the result of the experience built by Enrico Sabatini over years of working in confectionery companies such as Ferrero and Hershey's. The aim was to obtain a transparent gin by combining cocoa shells, a waste material not used in the production of chocolate, with the composition of the 9 Botanicals of Sabatini Gin.

For the project, the Sabatini family once again relied on Charles Maxwell who perfectly understood the desire to obtain not a chocolate gin but rather a distillate where the 9 botanicals of Sabatini Gin became 10 with the addition of cocoa beans , creating a perfect balance without distorting the initial recipe. “The project was born mostly thanks to my passion for cocoa. When Charles sent us the first test, we were impressed and decided that this gin had to be shared with Sabatini Gin lovers in a limited series” says Enrico Sabatini.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: soft hints of cocoa combined with the fresh floral scent of botanicals are perceived, which come together to further recall the memory of dark chocolate.

Palate: it is balanced but sweet in the aftertaste, with the always balanced presence of juniper, lemon verbena, Florentine iris and lavender.

Finish: it is soft but persistent, where all the botanicals contribute to making the taste of cocoa even more unique and sophisticated.
