Plantation's Master Blender did nothing but bring together some of the world's greatest rum connoisseurs: Jeff "Beachbum" Berry, Smuggler's Cove, Paul McFadyen, Paul McGee, Scotty Schuder and cocktails historian Dave Wondrich. After discussing and taking note of what the six rum experts had suggested to him in order to create the ideal overproof rum that each barman would have liked to work with, Alexandre Gabriel decided to create more barrel samples for his friends to taste. Everyone unanimously agreed on the final version that we know today as Plantation O.F.T.D. Overproof.
